1.Find the right practitioner

This is one of the most important steps. It is important that the aesthetic practitioner has a broad range of understanding, both from a aesthetic point of view as well as medical. We recommend that treatments such as botox and dermal fillers are only carried out by Nurses, doctors and dentists. This ensures that you are in safe hand. In most cases injedtable treatments are relatively safe however, if the treatment did not go as planned, having a medical trained practitioner allows them to do a full assessment on you and provide the best possible after care.

2. Have a in-depth consultation

Consultation give you great opportunity to ask us any questions about the treatment you are planning to have. During the consultation we will discuss in detail how the treatment you are enquiring about works, what the risks and benefits are and what to expect after the treatments. It is also an excellent time for our practitioners to fully assess your face and determine which treatment will be most beneficial.

3. The Decision-Making Process

Having a consultation is also recommended as it gives you the chance to go away and think about whether or not you are ready to have non surgical treatment.

4. Complete medical questionnaire

This will be given to you during your consultation. The medical questionnaire asks detail about you past medical history, medication that you are taking and allergies. It's important for you to be honest when competing this as it allows us to see it there are any contraindications.

5. Understand your treatment/consent to treatment.

Once you are happy with all the information provided to you we will ask you to read and sign the consent form. This will include in-depth any risks associated with the treatment you are having.

6. Numbing cream is a MUST!

We will apply a medical grade numbing cream to the area being treated. This usually stays on the skin for around 10 minutes. You fill feel slight tingling to the area as it becomes numb.

7. Have the treatment

The treatment usually takes around 20 mins to complete. We do a full check of the area before you leave the clinic.

8. Arnica cream to help with bruising

We will provide you with arnica cream to go home with after your treatment. We recommend that you apply this every 2-3 hours after having your lips done as it helps with bruising post treatment. It also allows the area to feel moist and smooth.

9. Follow post procedure advice

We will explain the post procedure care after your treatment. Electronic versions are also available on request.

10. Attend follow up if required

Follow up is not required for all treatments however, we do recommended attended 2 week follow up for all anti-wrinkle treatments.

LASTLY, ENJOY YOUR NEW LOOK!
